This privacy policy describes how JuniorDental L.L.C. ("we", "us") processes personal data of patients, parents/guardians and visitors to our website. We act in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
1. Who is responsible?
JuniorDental L.L.C. is the controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. For any questions, you can contact us using the details in section 8.
2. Data we process
We may process the following categories of personal data: name, contact details (email, phone, address), date of birth, identification details of parents/guardians, the child's medical and dental records, and billing and insurance information. We may also process technical data such as IP address, browser data and website visit data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data for the following purposes: entering into and performing a treatment agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), complying with legal obligations such as medical records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), legitimate interests such as website security and communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and, where applicable, with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), for example for marketing. Special categories of health data are processed on the basis of Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR (healthcare).
4. Retention periods
Medical records are retained in line with the statutory retention period for medical data in the relevant jurisdiction. Other personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share personal data only with processors (such as IT and cloud providers) acting under a data processing agreement, with insurers and medical professionals for treatment purposes, and with competent authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Where personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in connection with our clinics in Dubai, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequate level of protection in accordance with the GDPR.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
